Wii Sports Resort is here!

The long awaited sequel to the original Wii Sports has arrived but this time it has a special upgrade, the Motion Plus!

Wii Sports Resort is essentially Wii Sports 2 with 10 all new games and improvements (because of the excellent Motion Plus) in the bowling and golf games. New games include Swordplay, Wakeboarding, frisbee, archery, basketball, table tenis, jet skiing, canoeing, cycling and air sports. This really is a great family game, Nintendo have done it again.

Wii sports resort review

Wii Sports 2 is set in imaginary beach resort on an island called Wuhu Island, this is the island that also featured in Wii Fit. You have 12 sports/activities to choose from. The sports use the Wii controller along with the included Motion Plus attachment to simulate the sports for example in the archery game you actually draw back the nunchuck as if you were using a real bow. The Motion plus now allows you to realistically add spin to the balls on games like ping pong and bowling this never really worked on the original Wii Sports you could get away with playing most of the games sitting down! Most of the sports/activities allow you to share the remote with upto 4 players. To play head to head you really need to purchase another Motion Plus accessory which are available around the £20 mark.

All in all with the new accesory we give Wii Sports Resort a big family fun thumbs up!
